Achievements

Eagle Scout

I attained my Eagle Scout when I was 15 years of age. There are many requirements for this lifetime achievement. Dedication and hard work are required to complete all of these tasks.

An Eagle Scout is required to attain 21 total merit badges 13 required and the rest are for the Scout to choose. The badges required for Eagle Scout include First Aid, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, Cooking, Personal Fitness, Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving, Environmental Science, Personal Management, Hiking, Camping, and Family Life.

Eagle Scouts are also required to hold leadership positions within the troop for an extended period of time. The most challenging requirement of becoming an Eagle Scout is designing and carrying out the notorious Eagle Scout project. My project consisted of raising money to help refurbish the Balls Bluff Historical site. I installed park benches and beautified the area where visitors come.

Reserve Officers Association Award

The Reserve Officers Association Award was given to me during my time in Naval Junior Reserved Officer Training. This award is given to only a select few of Cadets that displayed dedication and aptitude for military procedure.
